THE ESSENTIALS

QC photo review at a glance

Match the photos to your own order, then check the selected option, quantity and visible condition. If a missing view affects your decision, request a specific angle or measurement. Record whether the item is ready, needs more evidence or requires a return enquiry. Photographs establish visible details, not authenticity or long-term performance.

Listing images and your own warehouse photos

Superbuy’s shopping-agent workflow includes inspection and photographs after warehouse arrival. Review those through the record for your own order. Product-card images on this website are catalog references and are not evidence that the item purchased for you has been checked.

A seller’s studio image helps identify a style. A public buyer photo shows someone else’s item. Your order photographs help you inspect the actual piece linked to your account. Put the order number next to any downloaded image so that similar colours or duplicate purchases do not become confused.

Verify the item, colour, size and included pieces

Do this identity check before examining small details. A beautifully photographed item in the wrong size still requires a decision. Where the listing includes alternatives, compare against the exact option you recorded, not whichever image is easiest to find now.

  • Match the order reference and listing with the item shown.
  • Check the selected colour and variant, rather than the main promotional image alone.
  • Read the size label if it is visible; an unreadable label remains an unanswered question.
  • Count the pieces, shoes, straps or other accessories that the selected option should include.
  • Look for an obvious mismatch between the written selection and the photographed item.

Photo checks for each product category

Use a short category-specific list. You do not need the same evidence for a T-shirt and a pair of headphones. Prioritise details that could make you keep the item, ask for more information or raise an after-sales question.

The table is our visual-review checklist. These checks describe what to look for when the photographs show it; they do not describe a guaranteed standard inspection scope.

Request a specific photo or inspection

The official service list distinguishes detail photography, re-inspection, detailed inspection and a limited power-on check for suitable electronics. Choose a service according to the question you need answered, and confirm its current scope and price.

Our example photo request is: “For order [number], please photograph the inside size label straight on so the text is readable.” For a defect question, name the area: “Please show a close-up of the mark beside the lower front zip in photo two.” A precise request is easier to review after the result arrives.

If the issue is functional, a close-up may not answer it. Ask what test is available for the actual product. Turning on an electronic device is not the same as checking every feature, battery capacity, electrical safety or compatibility with your home equipment.

THE IDEA, AT A GLANCE

Match the item, identify the issue and request a view

  1. 1Match the option

Correct item, colour, label and included pieces.

  2. 2Name the detail

Point to a seam, mark, closure or missing view.

  3. 3Ask precisely

Specify the angle or measurement endpoints.

Attach the order reference and describe the specific angle or measurement needed to resolve the question.

Specify measurement points, units and tape placement

Identify the measurement method used by the seller and name the start and end points in your request. For example: “Please lay the top flat without stretching and photograph the chest width from armpit seam to armpit seam, with both tape endpoints visible.” Ask whether the available service can carry this out before paying.

For trousers, distinguish a relaxed waistband from a stretched one. For shoes, distinguish foot length from removable-insole length. A number without a method can look reassuring while answering the wrong question.

Compare the result with a garment you own measured in the same way. Keep the original image rather than writing down only the number; tape position, garment shape and units may explain a later discrepancy. The separate sizing guide walks through this comparison.

What QC photos cannot confirm

Lighting and camera processing can alter colour. A folded sleeve can hide its length, and perspective can make two shoes appear different sizes. When a visual difference matters, ask for a more suitable view before deciding that it proves a defect.

An image cannot tell you how fabric feels, how a garment moves on your body, whether a shoe will remain comfortable after a full day or how a component will last. A logo, serial number or label shown in a photo is also not sufficient evidence of authenticity.

Keep your conclusions proportional to the evidence. “The size label reads L” is a visible observation. “It will fit me perfectly” is a prediction that requires measurements and personal fit preferences. Record unresolved points instead of treating absence of visible damage as a complete quality guarantee.

Decide whether to keep, recheck or request a return

Review the item while you can still ask about available after-sales options. Keep a concise note with the order reference, the issue, the photograph that shows it and the result you are asking about. Avoid sending several disconnected messages that describe the same problem differently.

Record one of three next steps for each item: keep it for shipping, request a specific recheck, or enquire about a return or exchange. Include the reason and any evidence still needed. A pending measurement should remain visible in the record until you have enough information to accept the item.

Check the specific seller and order conditions promptly. A warehouse storage allowance does not tell you how long a return request remains available. Do not assume a later international shipment pauses or extends an after-sales deadline.

Save photos and messages for the delivery check

Save the relevant order photos, chosen variant, measurement results and messages together. When the parcel arrives, use those records to distinguish an original listing mismatch from a question about packing or transit.

If you share a review later, identify whether a picture is a seller reference, warehouse photo or your own received item. Explain what you actually observed. This makes a buyer report useful without implying that one person’s photographs validate every item in the listing.
